Did you know that 79% view entrepreneurship as a desirable career option in the Sudan? Thanks to Professor Widad Ali A/Rahman and the Sudan National Team, GEM is able to highlight such findings.
The first report on Sudan has allowed for a comprehensive reflection of the status of entrepreneurship in the country and the overall context within which this important economic activity is undertaken.
“GEM work has offered me many inspiring moments,” said Ali A/Rahman, who is the GEM-Sudan Project Director and a professor at the Ahfad University for Women. “However, the thing I am most proud of is that I was able to diligently work with colleagues who are passionate about the GEM-Sudan initiative and have helped make it a reality that now contributes to entrepreneurship development in Sudan. I am also proud of how GEM have embraced us and for their level of respect and support.”
Sudan joined GEM in 2018. This was proceeded by communications in 2016 and 2017 with some of the GERA administrative team.
“Mike Herrington was particularly instrumental in our National Team being part of GEM.”
